Syttende Mai

Syttende Mai (The Seventeenth of May) May 17 is the Norwegian national day. On this day, the Norwegian people celebrates their constitution, which was signed in Eidsvold on that day in 1814. On this particular day, almost every Norwegian walks in processions across the country, while waving the Norwegian flag and singing the national anthem (Ja, vi elsker).
