Sylvester SimSylvester Sim (born January 19, 1983) (Chinese 沈祥龙/沈祥龍, Pinyin Shěng Xing Lng) is the runner-up of Singapore Idol. He is widely known as Sly to his fans. A lazy and naughty boy during his teenage years when he was in Shu Qun Secondary School, Sim used to roam and hang out with his friends, never returning home to study. A self-professed rocker, Sim is actually quite camera-shy. His Bad Boy image has caused him many a time to nearly get voted out of the Singapore Idol voting contest. Sim was once found to be engaged with Maia Lee and fellow contestants like Olinda Cho and Idol winner Taufik Batisah could not believe thier ears upon hearing the news.Now, they have cancelled their wedding plans, claiming that that they are currently concentrating on their careers.Sim said that it was all a 'rash decision' that he made 'in a moment of weakness'.Sim and Lee were apparently spotted at the ROM by a passerby. Sim's currently untitled debut album, which will be a mixture of mandarin and english songs is slated for release on April 8 2005.
