Sylvano Bussotti

) is an
Italian
composer
of
contemporary music
. Bussotti learned to play the violin as a child. Later he studied at the Florence Conservatory and with Max Deutsch in
Paris
. As composer he was influenced by the
serialism
of
Webern
and later
John Cage
. He has served as the artistic director of
La Fenice
,
Venice
