Sweet WormwoodSweet Wormwood (Artemisia annua), also known as Sweet Annie or Chinese wormwood, is a common type of weed that grows throughout the world. It has fern-like leaves, bright yellow flowers, and a camphor-like scent. Sweet Wormwood has recently come into the limelight for being the type of wormwood from which the anti-malarial drug artemisinin is made. Artemisinin is also known by the Chinese name qinghaosu and has been used in traditional Chinese medicine since 340s for the treatment of fever. External links
