The introduction's infamous D-flat based riff was also voted #1 riff of all-time by the readers of Total Guitar magazine. However, Guns N' Roses' lead guitarist, Slash, has reportedly been quoted as having a disdain for the song due to its roots as simply a technical exercise for him to warm-up with before a recording session or a performance the band was getting ready for.
