Swami Satyananda

Swami Satyananda (born in Almorah, Uttar Pradesh, India in 1923), a disciple of Swami Sivananda, is a modern yoga master and guru. At the age of 19, he started his spiritual search for ultimate truth. In year 1943 he took sannyasa and served his guru Swami Sivananda and Divine Life Society in Rishikesh, India. He is respected master of yoga and tantra has established International Yoga Fellowship Movement (1956), Bihar School of Yoga (1963) and Bihar Yoga Bharati, world's first university on yoga was established in 1994 by his disciple, Swami Niranjananda under his guidance.
