Sven Rydell

Sven Rydell (born January 14, 1905; died April 4, 1975) is a former Swedish football (soccer) player, the all-time leading scorer for the Swedish national team. Although Rydell played in the 1920s and 30s, the 49 goals (in only 43 matches) he scored for his country still stands as the national record. Because his career spanned the nascent years of international football, he never got a chance to play in the World Cup; his only apperance at the world stage came in the 1924 Summer Olympics, when Sweden won a bronze medal. On the club level, Rydell played for rgryte IS, Redbergslids IK, and Holmens IS. Rydell, Sven Rydell, Sven Rydell, Sven
