Surfman Badge

The Surfman Badge is a military badge of the United States Coast Guard, issued to enlisted personnel who qualify as small-craft crewmembers. Such small craft include harbor defense boats, river patrol vessels, as well as support boats such as tugs and dredges. To be awarded the Surfman Badge, a service member must qulaify as a small-craft crewmember, engineer, and gunner (if applicable to the craft type). The Surfman Badge is considered to be junior to the Coxswain Badge, and Coast Guard regulations do not permit the wearing of both badges simultaneously. The Surfman Badge is similar to the U.S. Navy's Small Craft Enlisted Pin.
