Super-2A Super-2 is a two-lane freeway-standard road, which may or may not have a median barrier. However, as with standard freeways, all driveways to adjacent properties are usually closed off, and all intersecting roads are either closed off or grade separated from the Super-2 (with access provided through ramps at interchanges). They are usually built as a temporary solution due to lack of funds, or as a compromise for environmental reasons. When the road is eventually widened, the existing road is typically allocated to traffic going in one direction, and the lanes for the other direction are built as a whole new roadbed adjacent to the existing one.
