Sundorne

Sundorne is a suburb of the town of Shrewsbury, county town of Shropshire. It is a ward in the Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council, returning two councillors, and an electoral division of Shropshire County Council, returning a councillor there too. The suburb has its own library and will soon have the main sports village for the town. Shrewsbury's only remaining TA centre is in Sundorne. The now disused Shrewsbury and Newport Canal runs through woodland in the southern part of the area. Population (2001 census): 5123. See also: Harlescott and Uffington.
