Suffolk University

Suffolk University is a private college in Boston, Massachusetts, located in the city's historic Beacon Hill neighborhood. Founded in 1906 as the Suffolk School of Law, the university expanded by adding liberal arts and business programs in the 1930s. In the 1990s Suffolk opened its first dormitories, began satellite programs with other colleges in Massachusetts, and opened campuses in Madrid, Spain, and Dakar, Senegal. As of 2003, the university employs nearly 800 full-time and adjunct faculty members, while almost 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students attend.
