Stunning Spell

In the fictional universe portrayed in the Harry Potter books, a stunning spell is a spell which stuns the fighter's opponent. The incantation used to make the spell work is, "Stupefy." The spell shoots in a straight line and is coloured red. It is a very useful spell, used by Harry Potter many times. It can, however, do a lot of damage. This was demonstrated in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, when Professor Minerva McGonagall, on the order of Dolores Umbridge, was hit by four stunning spells at once and had to be taken to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. A Stunned person may be revived by a counter-spell of unknown name. Its incantation is "Enervate".
