Strensall

Strensall is a village in the unitary authority of City of York in the north of England, on the River Foss and north of Haxby and York, Yorkshire. It is referred to in the Domesday Book as Streonaeshalch, after Streona, a personal name, and halch, a corner of land. It belonged to the Archbishops of York.
