Streetsboro, OhioStreetsboro is a city located in Portage County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 12,311. Geography Streetsboro is located at 41°14'33" North, 81°20'57" West (41.242455, -81.349124). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 63.1 km² (24.4 mi²). 62.2 km² (24.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.9 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.48% water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 12,311 people, 4,908 households, and 3,381 families residing in the city. The population density is 197.9/km² (512.6/mi²). There are 5,244 housing units at an average density of 84.3/km² (218.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 95.39% White, 1.96% African American, 0.09% Native American, 1.37% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.15% from other races, and 1.02% from two or more races. 0.78% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 4,908 households out of which 31.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.3% are married couples living together, 9.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.1% are non-families. 25.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.49 and the average family size is 3.00. In the city the population is spread out with 24.3% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 35.8% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 9.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 96.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 93.6 males. The median income for a household in the city is $48,661, and the median income for a family is $55,814. Males have a median income of $36,672 versus $27,835 for females. The per capita income for the city is $21,764. 5.3% of the population and 3.9% of families are below the poverty line.
