Strathspey Railway

Strathspey Railway
operates a 5
mile

km
) preserved
railway
, part of the former
Highland Railway
line which linked
Aviemore
with
Forres
. This railway now operates further north than the original terminus at
Boat of Garten
. The line has been extended to
Broomhill
, which is used as the station for
Glenbogle
, in the
BBC
series "
Monarch of the Glen
". The plan is to further expand to the old station in
Grantown-on-Spey
.
