Strathspey Railway

The Strathspey Railway operates a 5 mile (8 km) preserved railway, part of the former Highland Railway line which linked Aviemore with Forres. This railway now operates further north than the original terminus at Boat of Garten. The line has been extended to Broomhill, which is used as the station for Glenbogle, in the BBC series "Monarch of the Glen". The plan is to further expand to the old station in Grantown-on-Spey.
