Stranger Than Paradise

Stranger than Paradise is an absurdist comedy film written directed by American director Jim Jarmusch in 1983. It tells the story of a self-identified "hipster" living in New York City who joins his Hungarian cousin in her journey from New York to Cleveland, Ohio to Florida. It starred jazz musician John Lurie, former Sonic Youth drummer-turned-actor Richard Edson and Hungarian-born actress Eszter Balint. Danny Rosen was also in the film. The song "I Put a Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins features prominently in the soundtrack.
