stranda

Stranda is a municipality in the county of Mre og Romsdal, Norway. Stranda consists of three smaller towns and one larger central town. The smaller towns are Hellesylt (680 inhabitants), Geiranger (230) and Liabygda (200). The central town, bearing the name of the municipality, has about 3500 inhabitants. Stranda is also known for tourist attractions like the Geirangerfjord and Sunnylvsfjord. See also: fjord. The largest frozen pizza factory in Norway is located at Stranda, producing the Grandiosa pizza often ridiculed for being the main diet of youth living away from home. It is also home to the ski resort Strandafjellet.
