Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

Stonehouse is a town in Gloucestershire situated north of Stroud and south of Gloucester. The town is served by a station on the Golden Valley Line. It is one of the most urbanized areas of the Stroud District, being home to a number of factories, such as the milk marketing board. There is a Baptist Church in the town, amongst a small number of densely-packed shopping facilities. Traffic congestion is a frequent problem, as it is a main route to Gloucester and Stroud. There are a number of labyrinthine housing estates leading off from the main road, and it is still a popular area for unpopular housing developments.
