Stillaguamish River

The Stillaguamish River is a river in northwest Washington in the United States, approximately 20 mi (32 km) long. Through its two forks, it drains part of the Cascade Range north of Seattle into the northwest corner of Puget Sound. It rises is formed from the confluence of the North Fork and South, both of which rise in the Cascades. The North Fork (35 mi/56 km) rises in a remote area of central Skagit County near Gee Mountain, approximately 15 mi (24 km) NNW of Darrington. It flows south, then west through the foothills along the Skagit-Snohomish county line. The South Fork (30 mi/48 km) rises near in central Snohomish County, 20 mi/32 km SSE of Darrington, and flows northwest. The two forks unite at Arlington in northwestern Snohomish County. The combined stream flows west, entering the north end of Port Susan, an arm of Puget Sound, approximately 10 mi (16 km) west of Arlington.
