Sticker (Paper)

  label
A sticker is a piece of paper that contains a side that is sticky, hence its name. This side is usually made of a gluey material and is able to stick to objects and surfaces. Stickers are often handed out in promotion of products and events, such as skateboard companies, musicians, politicians, brands of bananas, among others. Stickers are also handed out after voting. Also, cars often feature stickers, often stating a slogan or advertising a product, called bumper stickers. Stickers featuring artistic images, or otherwise assembled in some artistic way, are known as sticker art. Stickers are commonly composed of vinyl sheets backed with adhesive, to which the sticker design is silkscreened. This method is commonly done by printers. Home creation of stickers is often done by Avery label sheets, which are typically not as sturdy as their vinyl counterparts.
