Steve Bucknor

Stephen Anthony Bucknor (born May 31, 1946, Jamaica), popularly known as Steve Bucknor, has been an international cricket umpire since March 18, 1989. He has the reputation of taking his time in making decisions - his trademark slow raising index finger is known throughout the cricket world. He became the first umpire ever to officiate in 100 test matches. (The 100th test was between India and Pakistan from March 16 to March 20, 2005 at Eden Gardens, Calcutta, India) Of late he has also been in the news for some very poor decisions - chiefly against Sachin Tendulkar.
