Stephen Saunders

Brigadier Stephen Saunders (1947 - 8 June 2000), the British military attach in Athens, was murdered on 8 June 2000 by motorcycle gunmen who were members of Revolutionary Organization 17 November (N17). He was attacked while driving through Athens traffic on his way to work at the British Embassy, Athens at 7:48 am. The investigation that followed led to an unprecendented level of co-operation between Greek and UK Police services. Following a lengthy investigation, members of the N17 terrorist organisation were arrested and brought to trial. Saunders, Stephen Saunders, Stephen
