Steenbeck

Steenbeck is a brand name that has become synonymous with a type of flatbed film editing suite. The Steenbeck company was founded by Wilhelm Steenbeck in 1931. The name Steenbeck is widely known in the film editing industry and more than 25,000 machines are in operation throughout the globe. With the move away from physical film stock, editing is now based on digital media, but devices such as the Lightworks non-linear film editing controller still use the 'Steenbeck' physical layout for controlling the process.
