Steal This Book

The book Steal This Book was written by Abbie Hoffman in 1970, and is considered a classic of American pop culture of the 1960s. It includes advice on such topics as growing marijuana, how to obtain free food by overlooked avenues and theft, starting a pirate radio station, living in a commune, preparing a legal defense, making pipe bombs, and obtaining a free buffalo from the US Department of the Interior. It also contains an appendix consisting of guidebooks to the counterculture scene in several major American cities. It is also filled with Hoffman's political views: "Avoid all needle drugs--the only dope worth shooting is Richard Nixon." Other self-referential book titles include "What is the name of this book?" by Raymond Smullyan. For a free rip-off of Steal This Book, visit http://www.eriswerks.org/steal.html
