Starlord

Starlord was a shortlived weekly British Science-Fiction comic published by IPC and edited by Pat Mills. Following the success of 2000 AD and with the fashion for Sci-Fi following the release of "Star Wars", Starlord's first issue was dated 13 May 1978. Like 2000 AD the title had a fictional editor 'Starlord' who also appeared in a regular strip in the comic. The comic launched the main characters of the ABC Warriors series and "Strontium Dog". Mostly the title split the weekly market and later that year it was merged with 2000 AD, the title's final issue dated 7 October 1978.
