Starhawk (Comics)Starhawk, the alter ego of Stakar Vaughn Ogord, and later Aleta Ogord, is the title given to agents of the Hawk God in the fictional Marvel Comics universe. Starhawk I Stakar Vaughn was born to the superheroes Quasar and Kismet in an alternate reality in approximately 2002. As such, he was half human and half-artifical being. Just as soon as he was born on the planet Vesper, he was kidnapped and deposited on the planet Arcturus IV. The baby was found by Ogord, a Reaver, and raised as his own. Stakar cultivated an interest in science and archaeology and explored ruins containing the Hawk God. He and his half-sister Aleta reanimated the dormant deity in about the year 2020 and were remade, taking turns occupying the same physical space, while the other stayed in a 'limbo'. They were given extrordinary power and left Arcturus for the stars. Stakar would one day be returned to his infant body, reliving his life over countless times (similar to the film Groundhog Day). Because of the knowledge of things to come, he manipulated events to effect what he felt was the most desirable outcome. He made many enemies in doing so, but it his tampering and guidance led to formation of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Starhawk II Aleta Ogord, an Arcturan, was trained to be aggressive and resented her weak and intellectual half-brother Stakar. When she was reborn through the Hawk-God's power, she spent much time suspended in limbo. She grew passive and, in time, fell in love with Stakar. The Hawk God allowed the two to separate for a time, and she gave birth to three children, Tara, Sita, and John. Aleta's father, Ogord, sought revenge on Starhawk for abandoning him, kidnapped his grandchildren, and turned them into psychic vampires. The children were killed, and Aleta held it against Stakar for the rest of his life, as she felt he could have prevented it. Eventually, Aleta overpowered Stakar, sent him back to his infant body in the past, and assumed the mantle of Starhawk. She held the title for a brief period, until Stakar returned during a visit to another timeline. The Hawk God allowed them to continue separate, with their powers intact.
