Using the fictional persona of an Imperial technical officer, the site's maintainer, Michael Wong, a mechanical engineer from the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area, presents a look at the comparative strengths and weaknesses of the Star Trek and Star Wars universes The site has a very active Bulletin Board community, http://bbs.stardestroyer.net, which has a very freewheeling and somewhat aggressive character (note: the aggressive attitudes are not directed towards fans of any series in particular, only towards individuals who have a history of poor argumentation). "SDN" (the short form of its name, by analogy to "TFN" for theforce.net) is home to two detailed STvsSW fanfics, Conquest and Reign of Terror, the former completed and the latter currently being written. Criticism A common criticism about this site is the webmaster himself, who is claimed to be heavily biased towards Star Wars as well as too highly aggressive. Other common criticisms involve the obsolescence of much of the site, in which many pages had not received attention for years and contained much information now rendered obsolete.
