Star Wars Technical Commentaries

Star Wars Technical Commentaries are a set of detailed documents exploring the nature and limits of the technology of the Star Wars universe. They are maintained by Dr. Curtis Saxton, Ph.D. (Astrophysics) and located at Theforce.net. His work is solely interested in establishing the limits and characteristics of Star Wars technology. Dr. Saxton wrote some publications relating to , including Attack of the Clones: Incredible Cross Sections; a "reference" book. AOTC:ICS was the first technical material relating to Star Wars to fix real-world values to Star Wars technologies. The values he chose or derived were sufficiently high to be controversial in the world of science-fiction debating, especially to fans of the rival Star Trek franchise, and at the time there was a rather considerable outcry because of them. Ironically, many members of his host's message board (that of Theforce.net's) dislike SWTC in general. His methodical and empirical methodology is reportedly disfavored by some at Lucasfilm who would prefer a less scientific view of the Star Wars franchise. See also:
