Star Cruises

Star Cruises is a cruise line, as of 2004 the third-largest in the world; itself operating five cruise ships directly, and totalling 20 when subsidiaries are counted. Based in Hong Kong, the company was founded in 1993 to develop cruising in the Asia-Pacific region, catering to both Asian passengers as well as to Europeans, North Americans, and Australians interested in Asian destinations. In 2000, the company acquired NCL Holdings, which gave it Norwegian Cruise Line and its subsidiary Orient Lines.
