Stachys The Apostle

Stachys the Apostle was a bishop of Byzantium. He seemed to be closely connected to Saint Andrew and Saint Peter. It was not clear if Stachys was the same person with the one Peter calls "dear" in his letter to the Romans. His feast day is on October 31. original text excerpted from CCEL.
