St Albion Parish News

St Albion Parish News is currently a regular feature in the satirical magazine Private Eye. It is used as a vehicle to lampoon the present British government (although other administrations are no less exempt from ridicule). Members of the UK political establishment are cast satirically equivalent roles within a typical Anglican church. The vicar of St Albion's is "Rev. A.R.P. Blair, MA (Oxon)", none other than Tony Blair. George W. Bush has recently appeared in the St Albion Parish News in the guise of the Rev. Dubya Bush of the Church of the Latter-Day Morons (or, in some issues in 2003, the Latter-Day Morbombs), in reference to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (see also Mormon).
