Squash And Stretch

Squash and stretch is a common animation technique that is basically what the name suggests: the squashing and stretching of a character walking to add motion to it (step by step), or the squash and stretch of machinery working. It is also used to add a bit more motion and cartoonish feeling to the animation. This kind of technique can also be used in comics or still cartoon art.
