Springfield Ozark Mountain Ducks

The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks are an independent league baseball team that plays in Ozark, Missouri, a suburb of Springfield. The team is a member of the Central Baseball League and is independent of any affiliation with a Major League Baseball team. The team plays in Price Cutter Park. The Mountain Ducks are now virtually certain to move or fold after the 2004 season. On August 24, the St. Louis Cardinals announced that they had purchased the El Paso Diablos, a team in the Class AA Texas League, and would move the team to Hammons Field, a newly built ballpark in Springfield. The Diablos will become the Springfield Cardinals.
