Spiritual Acts Of Mercy

The Spiritual Acts of Mercy are Christian acts that are to keep the two greatest commandments; "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind.' This is the greatest and the first commandment. And the second is like it, 'Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.'" The seven Spiritual Acts of Mercy are:
  • To admonish the sinner.
  • To instruct the ignorant.
  • To counsel the doubtful.
  • To comfort the sorrowful.
  • To bear wrongs patiently.
  • To forgive all injuries.
  • To pray for the living and the dead.
