Spin City

Spin City was a TV series that ran from 1996 to 2002, based on a fictional local government running New York City. The show was cancelled along with Dharma & Greg and Once and Again in 2002 due to low ratings from the 2001-2002 season and a change in target demographics.

At the start of the series, Gugino played Fox's love interest, and his home life was given equal attention to his work life. But several months later, Gugino was abruptly fired and the show took the unprecedented step of erasing her from each of her episodes, ensuring she would never be seen in any repeats. After Michael J. Fox left the show due to his Parkinson's disease (at the same time, Britton and Dillard left), the role of the Deputy Mayor was taken over by Charlie Sheen. The show was visited by numerous guest stars, such as supermodel Heidi Klum and actress Courtney Thorne-Smith.
