Sphenopsalis Sphenopsalis is a genus of extinct mammal from the Paleocene of Central Asia. It was a member of the extinct order Multituberculata, and lies within the suborder of Cimolodonta, and a member of the superfamily Taeniolabidoidea. The genus was named by Matthew W.D., Granger W. and Simpson G.G. in 1928. One species, Sphenopsalis nobilis, was named by Matthew, Granger and Simpson. It was found in the Upper Paleocene of Gashato and Nomogen of Mongolia and China. The American Museum of Natural History, New York, has a specimen in its collection. References - Matthew, et. al.
