Sonny Tufts

Sonny Tufts (16 July 1911 - 4 June 1970) - US movie actor. Attained some fame during WWII, principally because he was one of the few handsome male actors not serving overseas in the war. In the 1980s was best known as one of the semi-random people and places that TV host Johnny Carson used in his jokes. Sonny Tufts is related to Charles Tufts, for whom Tufts University is named.
