Socialism With A Human Face

Socialism with a human face was a program announced by Alexander Dubček when he became the chairman of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in January 1968. The subsequent developments became known as the Prague Spring. The process of democratization and political liberalization was terminated in the morning of August 21, 1968, when 200,000 Warsaw Pact troops and 5,000 tanks invaded Czechoslovakia.
