Slrn

Slrn is an open source text-based Usenet newsreader. It was originally developed for Unix-like operating systems, but is now available for many other operating systems, including Microsoft Windows. Slrn runs in console mode and is highly customizable. It uses the S-Lang library written by the same author, John E. Davis. The slrn name derives from the use of S-Lang and the basis on another newsreader rn. Slrn is currently maintained by Thomas Schultz.
