Slaxright Slax is a Linux Live CD . It does not need to be installed as it boots and runs from a CD drive. It is possible to run Slax on a computer without a hard disk. There is also an option to run Slax from RAM, freeing the drive for other uses, such as for a DVD or music CD. Slax is based on Slackware Linux, and uses KDE as it's desktop environment. Fluxbox and XFCE are desktop enviroments also availible under Slax, the latter has to be added to the ISO image by the user. The current version of Slax is v5.0.0 is around 190MB, released on April 4, 2005 Features Slax contains the following software: - Linux Kernel 2.6.11.6
