Sirivennela

Sirivennela is a movie based on Indian Classical Music, in the Telugu language and released in 1986. The movie is directed by Kasinadhuni Viswanath, who is known for his presentation of India in Classical Arts and their present state in the society. The movie revolves around the role of Hari Prasad played by Banerjee, who plays flute for his living. The movie abounds in classical music composed by K. V. Mahadevan with flute renditions by Hariprasad Chaurasia. This movie also launched Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry as a lyricist who penned all the songs in the movie in his music writing debut.
