Singapore General Hospital

Singapore General Hospital
(SGH) is the largest
hospital
in
Singapore
, as well as being the oldest, tracing its roots back to
1821
. The
Singapore Health Services
hospital occupies sprawling grounds at
Outram Park
, sharing space with four specialist centres, namely the
Singapore National Eye Centre
(SNEC), the
National Heart Centre
(NHC), the
National Cancer Centre
(NDC) and the
National Dental Centre
(NDC).

As a result of a restructuring exercise in the local heathcare scene, the hospital came under the management of
Singapore Health Services
in March
2000
.
