Since I Left You (2000) is an album and a single from the Australian rock/dance/alternative band The Avalanches. The album is comprised almost entirely of samples from old records, films, and TV shows. It has the characteristic of having its tracks seamlessly mix into each other. Track 13, "Frontier Psychiatrist", is probably its best known. The first single (second in the UK) off the album Frontier Psychiatrist debuted and peaked at #48 in the Australian ARIAnet Singles Chart, and at #18 on the UK Singles Chart, while the second single (first in the UK) Since I Left You debuted and peaked at #16 in the UK and also entered the top 100 in Australia. Their debut album, also titled Since I Left You, peaked at #18 in the UK Albums Chart. There are some editions of the album that have had many samples removed, or replaced with cheap imitations.
