. The Center confronts important contemporary issues including

and is accredited as an

UNESCO
. One of its projects is the original
Museum of Tolerance
in
Los Angeles, California
, with newer versions in
New York

Jerusalem
. The organization is named after its founder
Simon Wiesenthal
, a former engineer and an Austrian Jew who lost many family members in the Holocaust, and later pledged to hunt down Nazis and bring them to justice.
