Sima Zhao

Sima Zhao211-264( was the son of Prime Minister Sima Yi of the Kingdom of Wei, during the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. He seized control of the Kingdom of Wei and had himself crowned the Prince of Jin. He took advantage of weakness in the Kingdom of Shu to the west and attacked it, forcing the surrender of Shu. His actions helped set up the overthrowing of the Wei Dynasty by his son, who proclaimed the Jin Dynasty. He also started the end of the Three Kingdoms period, which ended in 280 A.D. with the conquest of the Kingdom of Wu by his son.
