The total area is 0.59% water. Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 529 people, 216 households, and 157 families residing in the town. The population density is 1.9/km² (5.0/mi²). There are 963 housing units at an average density of 3.5/km² (9.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.11% White, 0.19% African American, 0.76% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.95% from two or more races. 0.19% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 216 households out of which 19.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.4% are married couples living together, 0.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.9% are non-families. 25.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
