Siemens Scandal

The Siemens scandal (Jiimensu jiken) occurred in Japan in 1914. Siemens was found to have bribed the government of Yamamoto Gonnohyoe. Yamamoto's cabinet was overthrown, although Yamamoto himself was never implicated and later returned to serve another term as prime minister of Japan.
