Siegfried Held

Siegfried Held,often short Siggi Held, (born August 7 1942) is a former German football player and now a football coach. His position was that of a striker. Born in Freudental, Baden-Wrttemberg, his first football club was Kickers Offenbach. In 1965 he became player in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund. Altogether he did 442 games in the Bundesliga, for Dortmund, Offenbach and Bayer 05 Uerdingen. He also made 41 games for the German national team, including the vice-world championship in 1966. After his retirement as professional player in 1981 he became a football coach - 1982/83 for FC Schalke 04, 1991-93 for Admira Wacker Wien, 1993-95 for Dynamo Dresden and 1996-98 for VfB Leipzig. In 2003 he was coach for the national team of Malta. In 2004 he became coach for the Thai national team, but was suspended after only 5 months. Held, Siegfried Held, Siegfried Held, Siegfried
