ShujinkoShujinko is a character from the Mortal Kombat series. Depicted as a young child in Konquest mode of , Shujinko is trained by Master Bo' Rai Cho in the art of Kombat. Soon, however, Shujinko is encountered by Damashi, a representation of the Elder God of Fire. It is from this point on that Shujinko's goal is to find the Kamidogu, or relics that are hidden in each realm (Earthrealm, Outworld, Netherrealm, Order realm, Chaos realm, and Edenia) and place them on an altar in the nexus of the Elder Gods. As the Konquest mode progresses and Shujinko gets closer and closer to finding all of the Kamidogu, he begins to age. This aging is necessary for the final character form, in which he is about sixty years old. Damashi gives Shujinko the ability to absorb the abilities of fighters he meets in his quest, and therefore Shujinko's moves consist of those he trains with--for example, Liu Kang's Bicycle Kick, Sub-Zero's Ice, and Scorpion's Bloody Spear. Unfortunately, all of Shujinko's moves and fatalities (including his suicide move) must be unlocked after Konquest is completed. Shujinko's mission ends when he finds all six of the Kamidogu, and then Damashi reveals himself as none other than the Dragon King, who had spoken to Shujinko from beyond death. He had used Shujinko to obtain the Kamidogu (hence, "Deception") and threatens to use Quan Chi's amulet to merge them all into one super Kamidogu. In order to redeem himself, Shujinko must fight his way through a new Mortal Kombat, "born of Deception..." *
