Shirley Temple Cocktail

A Shirley Temple is a non-alcoholic cocktail made with lemon-lime soda and Grenadine syrup, garnished with a cherry and slice of lemon or orange. It is often served to children dining with elders to let them share the experience of drinking a cocktail. It was named for the famous child actor, Shirley Temple.

Variations

  • Ginger ale or club soda can be substituted for the lemon-lime soda in the above recipe.
  • Another version of the Shirley Temple uses ginger ale and orange juice in place of the lemon-lime soda.
  • When made with lemon-lime soda, it is sometimes called a Kiddie Cocktail.
